Con LPS, donde no se cumple la distancia de separación "s"

If the building has an air termination system and the separation distance between the air termination system and the panels is not observed, there is a risk of a direct lightning strike to the building and the PV system (impulse current with parameters of 10/350 µs). In this case, it is necessary to install SPD type T1, or in the better case to select a combined SPD type T1+T2. This type of building normally belongs into the LPL II level, for which the use of a surge arrester for PV applications with a discharge ability of 9,375 kA/pole is required using a supplementary earthing connection. A suitable SPD representative on position A, or on positions A and D when the distance between the inverter and the panels is greater than 10 m, may be the HLSA12,5 PV 1 000. This product is determined specifically for the voltage UCPV = 1 000 V DC, but we also offer variants for 1 500 V DC. It is in the Y connection, which is resistant to the earth fault of live conductors and has zero residual (leakage) current. If you insist on a cheaper variant, we also offer variants in the same voltage range in U connection with a marking /2 at the end of the product name. The HLSA12,5 PV product series for LPL levels I and II is not equipped with an internal DC arc fault disconnector, and therefore back-up fuse is required. If remote monitoring of the surge protection status is required, the variants marked S can be used, i.e. for example HLSA12,5 PV 1 000 S. The potential-free contact of this remote monitoring is then connected to the to the building‘s control system (typically as an input of a PLC control system), where it permanently informs the investor about the status of the surge protection device, without the need for physical control of the switchboard. If the PV array is protected by an external LPS and if sufficient separation distance cannot be observed, the external LPS must be connected directly to the metal structure of the PV panels.

Since the building is equipped with an air termination system, it is necessary to install SPD type T1 in the main switchboard - at position C, or in the best case to select combined SPD type T1+T2+T3. This type of building normally belongs into the LPL II level, for which the use of an 18,75 kA/pole arrester is required. In this switchboard, at the beginning, before the PEN conductor is split into PE and N conductors, it is common to see a TN-C system configuration with a voltage value of 3x 230 V / 50 Hz. These conditions correspond to the product HLSA25G-255/3+0 S with remote monitoring. If the entire electrical distribution system of the building is of type TN-S, the configuration HLSA25G-255/4+0 S can be used. If the inverter is more than 10 m away from the main switchboard, it is necessary to repeat SPD type T1 directly in front of the inverter - position B. If we consider a three-phase TN-S system, a suitable representative is, for example, HLSA12,5-275/3+1 M S.
